- Mane: Brush over to wrong side and comb with Hippo-King as Normal, than brush back
- Flip the mane back and shorten to desired length
- Tail: Lift the top hairs, doing 2-3 even strokes, leave the centre top hairs long.

Make sure you place the Hippo King right at the base of the neck/mane, then comb down!
Do NOT use in one area for too long - Move along and repeat!

Best mane thinner ever!
I just love the hippo king for my pony's very thick mane and forelock. It was quick and easy to use, did a beautiful job and best of all without pain! Will be trying this on my poodle x too.

Best invention ever!
I have 2 horses with very thick manes. Pulling used to take forever and hurt both of us. The hippo king is painless and over and done with in seconds. A friend borrowed it to use on her border collie who kept getting matts. She brought one now and puppy is matt free.......awesome product!

I had another brand similar to this and it did not work the best so was not sure when ordering this one but it is fantastic....easy to use and sturdier than my other one.

Best mane thinner ever
The big test for this was my Andalusian/TB who has an incredibly thick mane and the Hippo King was just amazing !!! Did his entire mane in about one minute flat and he didn't seem to feel a thing. Brilliant item and the best mane thinner I've used.

Great timesaver!
I have a warmblood with a very thick mane and it took less than 5 minutes to thin, shorten and neaten his mane. He stood there happily whilst I did it and I was thrilled with the results.
